Did you know..
*70% of health-care costs stem from preventable diseases. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
*Stress undermines work productivity in 9 of 10 companies. (Industrial Society Survey)
*70-80% of physician visits are stress related. (US Public Health Survey)
*Obesity, diabetes, and heart disease have reached epidemic proportions—almost all are preventable. (American Medical Association)
How are you investing in your own wellness? How are you writing the script to your life?
As an author and coach, I “see” events and people in descriptive terms. My imagination expands the situation further at times; however, this talent helps me to see all the different possibilities in a person and in the current events.
I know through my observations and lessons in life, that there are seven areas in our lives that we struggle, almost desperately, to have an equal amount of success in all:
*Physical
*Mental
*Spiritual
*Social
*Family
*Financial
*Vocational
So much (not all) of the above mentioned illnesses and stressors are directly related to our belief systems and how certain people and events “charge” us up and how we hold on to those charges. We are also “seeking” creatures that continuously find ways to evolve who we are and our circumstances.
So, there is a void. That void creates value. That value is what we seek. In that value-seeking mode, we move away from one area of our lives (avoiding) and focusing on another. What stresses us out is seeking to find the balance in it all AND be successful (how ever we define success).
Open your mind to the possibility that, at the same time, we are seeking, we have exactly what we love at this very moment. Our charges have brought us to this moment in time, to experience this reality based upon our value system. And there is a part of us seeking and avoiding; thus, we have both processes going on at the same time.
If we see something as positive, we are going to seek it out. We will actually look for it. If we something as negative, even though we try to avoid it, we are going to attract it anyway.
Wow! The proverbial gerbil wheel!
However…
Every time we just honor what is and be thankful for what is in this present moment, we allow ourselves to grow.
There are positives and negatives to this “struggle”.
Can you guess?
Of course you did – you are a smart reader ~ otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this blog! LOL!
YES! You got it!
1. Being in a state of struggling gets us attention.
2. It can make us feel more important.
3. We become the center of attention.
4. Each time there is a struggle, it makes you stronger and you handle things better.
5. You are better able to help others who are struggling.
6. Some of your greatest inspired moments come during a period of struggle.
Some of the greatest teachers, artists, and visionaries spent 99% of their time struggling and then their greatest moment came with effortless flow.
For example, Eric Clapton who had one of his greatest highs performing the night before his 4 year old son fell out of a window to his death – which created one of his greatest lows. Out of this, Mr. Clapton wrote of the greatest songs and masterpieces, “Tears in Heaven” which came from his love and connection with his son.
There is great victory in struggling!
AND…if we didn’t have struggle and challenges, it would be a boring life!
We diffuse the “charge”, the “stressors”, when we embrace and express gratitude for our wide array of emotions, for our current circumstances, and/or for the relationships in our lives. Is it always “easy” to do this? NO! Otherwise, people would be doing it all of the time!
However…we get better and better at fine-tuning ourselves and our emotions so that we will be in inspiration – in Spirit – more often.
Our emotions are actually here to help us create:
*To create a vivacious, fulfilling, inspired life
*To create Inner Peace by Loving YOU first
*To create living from wisdom and love
*To create the life you DESERVE!
